A Brief HistoryThe National Championship was conceived, designed, and implemented by Graham Dexter and supporters in 1981 and was flown for by 10 clubs for the first time in 1981. Since that time the Association has grown into a National body which does much to support the hobby promoting fellowship and sporting competition, and has until this year (2003) supported the World Cup Competition in England. Although the NBRA will continue to support the World Cup we are now seeing other groups of individuals taking responsibility to organising their regions in support of this worthy project. The NBRA has been fortunate to keep its secretaries, and since its inception has only had 5 secretaries: Graham Dexter 1982-1987 George Kitson 1988 - 1995 Paul Lee 1996 to 2005 Janet Bayne 2005 to 2007 Current secretary is Steve Shivers |
